Sydney Opera House & Sitback win big at the Acquia Engage Awards 2023
Awards recognize organizations that have gone above and beyond to craft and deliver the most ambitious and productive digital experiences.
We have been selected as the winners of “Leaders of the Pack – Entertainment” and “Regional Excellence – Asia Pacific and Japan“. The Acquia Engage Awards recognise outstanding digital experiences leveraging the Acquia Open Digital Experience Platform (Acquia Open DXP).
The winning submission detailed how we worked together to create an exceptional, accessible, online cultural experience. The new Drupal website boasts a 150% reduction in average page download time; smarter, faster transaction flows; increased discoverability of events enhancing the visitors’ propensity to buy; and improved opportunities to upsell and cross-sell experiences such as tours, food, and beverage packages.

This year’s global competition received entries spanning a variety of industries and regions in 26 categories. Each submission was presented to a panel of respected digital experts, who evaluated them on functionality, integration, performance, results, overall user experience, and other criteria.

The Sydney Opera House website project was also shortlisted in the 2023 CX Awards for “Best use of Technology to Revolutionise CX”, appearing alongside industry giants such as ANZ, Journey Beyond, MYOB, Optus and Suncorp. Further demonstrating the calibre of both the team and the resulting website solution.
